Introduction:
Talent-Relay has partnered with a global player in the financial services sector to urgently on-board an experienced Full Stack Engineer with experience of Kotlin, React / Typescript into a project team, building secure, scalable customer‑facing services.
Successful candidate will join the team on an initial contract until the end of 2026, with extension highly likely.
The successful Full Stack Developer will work across Kotlin backend services and TypeScript/React frontends, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and leverage agentic AI tooling. This role emphasises collaboration, learning, and clear communication with cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and run scalable backend services using Kotlin and modern JVM frameworks.
- Create fast, polished web experiences with TypeScript and React.
- Drive CI/CD: automate builds, testing, deployments, and monitoring.
- Develop and test internal AI tooling (agent orchestration, safety patterns) for engineering teams.
- Collaborate through code reviews, pair programming, and sprint planning.
- Diagnose production issues quickly and ship reliable fixes.
- Communicate progress, priorities, and trade-offs clearly across teams.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience), plus relevant internships.
- Proficient in Kotlin (or another JVM language) and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building React applications.
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts and internal tooling.
- Clear, confident communicator—able to explain technical ideas to any audience.
- Eager to learn and thrive in a security-focused, regulated environment.
Nice to have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiar with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of secure coding and data privacy/anonymisation practices.
- Internship or project experience in fintech or insurance.
