Job Title: IT Field Service Engineer / IT Engineer

Location: Virginia / Washington DC  

Job Type: Permanent / Full time

Salary / Package: $80,000 – $100,000 + Overtime +Bonus +401K +  Healthcare

Working setup: Regional Field Support / IT Engineer role, up to 80% travel.

Introduction:

Talent-Relay have partnered with an Innovative leader within the Healthcare and Med-Tech Space onboard a proactive IT Field Service Engineer, to support Network, Software & Hardware technology for their client base across Virgina state / Washington region.

As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier service in PC (Windows), software, network, and hardware troubleshooting. The role involves extensive travel to medical centres and hospitals throughout the Virgina state / Washington DC area and occasional support within other regions throughout the US when needed (PTO cover, large installation, projects).

Midweek overnight stays maybe likely, and some weekend work during busy periods.

** Excellent overtime rates for this role. **

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, support, and maintain their product range.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide on-site/reactive support.
  • Provide scheduled maintenance and upgrade assistance, available both remotely and on-site.
  • Carry out installations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with customers and installers.
  • Occasional travel to other states when needed.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience as a Technically qualified IT Field Engineering / IT Service Engineer
  • Strong hardware diagnostic skills, including PC hardware (replacing PC components)
  • Proficiency in Windows 10, Windows Server + MS SQL,
  • Registry editing; TCP IP Networking; Windows Updates; Com Ports; Firewalls; OS Upgrades using Windows Images.
  • Solid customer service experience & “Can Do / results oriented attitude
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team.
  • Experience of Installing Desktops / Desktop imaging
  • Previous experience with Installation, troubleshooting & resolving hardware issues
  • Experience of Storage – RAID / NAS
  • Understanding of Routers & Switches

Nice to Have:

  • A+ and Microsoft certifications a plus
  • SQL knowledge is preferred
  • Medical Devices, ideally Medical Imaging or Radiotherapy
